The 2026 U.S. Open has officially begun with the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center hosting the world's best players, including back-to-back women's champion Aryna Sabalenka.
On the men's side, top contender Carlos Alcaraz has been getting his reps in, having already competed at the venue this week while playing alongside Serena Williams in the mixed doubles competition. He'll need every advantage he can get if he hopes to beat top seed Alexander Zverev.
But Serena Williams isn't the only Williams sister making an appearance this weekend. Venus Williams will be playing in this year's U.S. Open as a wild card, her second consecutive year participating in the tournament. After losing in the first round a year ago, she'll be ready to provide
a better showing for fans in attendance as she prepares to take on Sofia Kenin.
