A subsidiary of automaker Stellantis has recalled more than 16,000 Ram vehicles over an issue with their tire pressure monitoring systems, according to a recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall stems from a potential problem with the vehicles' tire pressure monitoring system failing to detect low tire pressure or failing to illuminate the tire pressure warning light.
The issue could result in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash, according to the NHTSA report.

The recall notice applies to approximately 16,385 vehicles in the 2026 Ram 1500 model.

Anyone with an affected
vehicle can take it to a dealer, who will inspect and replace the tire pressure sensors as necessary free of charge, the notice said.
FCA US LLC, the subsidiary of Stellantis that issued the recall, said owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on Oct. 27.
Owners of the impacted cars can contact the company's customer service at 1-800-853-1403 with the recall number 51D.
