The Green Bay Packers lost to the Atlanta Falcons on the Sept. 24 edition of Thursday Night Football.
The upset loss to the previously winless Falcons was bad enough for a Packers team that is now 1-2 on the season, but Green Bay was dominated on its home turf in what coach Matt LeFluer called a "butt-whooping."
The lopsided loss was the first for the Packers in a home opener at Lambeau Field since 2012 and their seventh loss in eight games dating back to last season.
As the game slipped further and further away in the second half, fans at Lambeau showered the home team with boos. That didn't sit well with tight end Tucker Kraft.
"Yeah, that's pretty tough," Kraft said in the locker room following the game. "Everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not
boos. I don't picture boos when I picture my home stadium. That's tough. It's pretty disappointing."
Kraft, who had four catches on eight targets for 26 yards against the Falcons, acknowledged the team didn't play well.
"I just didn't feel like we were playing our brand of ball," Kraft said. "I, myself, was not playing to my standard. That's something I have to resolve on my own, and that could be the same case for some other people in here. The mistakes that we made, there's no pointing fingers."
That didn't stop him from pointing out how the boos from fans won't help matters.
"It's not going to help us win," Kraft said. "I don't know if people think that's going to rally us or something like that, but, you know, we're grown men. We're mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball, but that'd be much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us."
