The end of August is next week but automakers are already teasing 2027 models and upcoming vehicles. American automaker General Motors and its portfolio of brands is bringing the heat in 2027 with major portfolio upgrades.
From affordable and popular full-size trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado to luxury-adjacent three-row SUVs like the Buick Enclave, the American automaker has plenty to offer. Here are some of the most anticipated models of late 2026 and 2027.
Chevy's midsize electric SUV is getting a refresh
Chevrolet's Blazer EV plays an important role in the brand's lineup as an affordable midsize electric SUV with solid performance specs. It's getting a refresh for the 2027 model year that makes the electric vehicle even more appealing.

One of the biggest updates to the Blazer EV is the introduction
of a North American Charging Standard port, says GM Authority. This makes it easier for Blazer EV drivers to utilize Tesla Superchargers for Direct Current fast charging.
The 2027 Blazer EV also features new exterior color options for the new model year. It starts at $44,700 and produces 220 horsepower. The Blazer EV has 312 miles of driving range, which is excellent for its segment.
The GMC Sierra 1500 is being redesigned for 2027
GMC's full-size pickup truck, the Sierra 1500, is getting a complete redesign for 2027. The pickup is getting a new exterior design as well as a tech-centric new interior design.

Aside from changes to the full-size truck's appearance, it's also getting new powertrain options. Drivers will be able to choose from new sixth-generation GM small block V8 engines like a 5.7-liter V8 and a 6.6-liter V8.
The cabin will feature over 60 inches of total digital display space between the instrument cluster, a massive standard 16.3-inch infotainment display, a huge heads-up display and an available front passenger screen. The new Silverado is set to be the most refined and technologically advanced iteration yet.
The Chevy Silverado is getting major upgrades for 2027
GMC's full-size truck isn't the only GM truck getting an extreme makeover for its 2027 model year. The Chevy Silverado is also getting a major redesign.
Chevy's Silverado competes with best-selling models like the Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 as one of the most popular half-ton trucks in the country. Its 2027 redesign will also give the Silverado a new exterior, interior and powertrain options. The Silverado 1500 will also have a simplified trim lineup for 2027.
Chevrolet's full-size truck will get the same V8 powertrain options as its more refined cousin the GMC Sierra 1500. It will come standard with a huge 16.3-inch diagonal center touchscreen infotainment system as well.
The Chevrolet Traverse family SUV gets a trim update for 2027
Chevy is updating the Traverse three-row SUV's High-Country trim to sport a more modern design. Its cabin is classier for the 2027 model year, incorporating authentic wood trim, new color schemes and upgraded tech.

It features an available rear-seat video feed, a power-folding third row and GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving technology. The Traverse's most refined trim has more to offer for 2027 in terms of both standard and available features.
