Washington football has not been able to find much success against Iowa's defense in the first half of Friday's Big Ten clash.
Now, the Huskies will have to find some rhythm and success without their starting quarterback.
Washington quarterback Demond Williams sustained an apparent shoulder injury at the end of a quarterback keeper on third down in the second quarter at Husky Stadium, which saw Williams go to the medical tent after the Huskies scored their first points of the night on a field goal.
Elijah Brown took the field with the Huskies offense on their next drive of the half, with Williams shown on the sidelines still in some discomfort.
Williams exits the game 6-of-11
passing for 69 yards with -8 rushing yards on 11 carries. He took four sacks in the first half against the Hawkeyes' defense. Washington is currently trailing Iowa 27-3 at halftime.
