On Saturday, Ohio State head football coach Ryan Day will lead the No. 5 Buckeyes against Maryland in a game where Ohio State will once again be heavily favored.
However, on Friday night, Oct. 9, he put the head coach card aside and was just a dad.
Friday night was senior night for the St. Francis DeSales Stallions and Day's son, a senior quarterback on the team, who walked alongside his parents and sisters.

RJ Day, a three-star prospect in the 2027 class, is ranked as the No. 104 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting cycle and the No. 71 player in Ohio. He'll play his college ball in the Big Ten but will be on the opposite sideline of his dad
if the Buckeyes plays Northwestern.
He announced his commitment to the Wildcats on May 10.
The night was an overall success for the Day family. RJ and the Stallions held off St. Charles (OH) 28-20, handing the Cardinals their first loss of the season. With the win, St. Francis DeSales moves to 6-2 on the year.
Two games remain in the regular season for RJ and the Stallions before they kick off postseason play. They'll travel to Steubenville (OH) on Oct. 16 and close out the regular season at home against Bishop Hartley (OH) on Oct. 23.
