Deuce Alexander showed off his speed with a 62-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown in the third quarter of Mississippi'sseason opener against Louisville.
That score may have cost the Rebels some depth at wide receiver.
Shortly after the touchdown drive ended at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Alexander was seen being stretched out on the sideline by members of the Rebels' medical staff. He eventually left for the locker room at the stadium for further evaluation.
The Rebels are currentlytied with the Cardinals 24-24 after Louisville responded to Alexander's 62-yard touchdown catch with a 62-yard touchdown pass from Lincoln Kienholz to Tre Richardson.
Before his injury,
Alexander racked up 144 receiving yards and two touchdowns on four receptions. Both of Alexander's touchdowns were 62-yard receptions.

Alexander was taken back to the locker room at Nissan Stadium after sustaining an apparent leg/lower body injury in the third quarter of Ole Miss' Week 1 game against Louisville.
