Jackson Chourio delivered a walk-off RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Milwaukee Brewers to an improbable 4-3 win on Sunday, Oct. 4 and a 2-0 lead over the San Diego Padres in the NLDS.
Chourio’s single to center field with the bases loaded brought in Joey Ortiz with the winning run against Padres closer Mason Miller, who had walked three batters in the inning.
“I’m not sure what it is,” Chourio told Fox Sports after the game. “I just think these moments were made for me. I think it gives me extra adrenaline, and that’s what gets me through it.”
