Amanda Seyfriedand Thomas Sadoski have confirmed they separated after more than nine years of marriage, according to People.
"We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever — and it’s GOOD," the couple said in a statement to People.
USA TODAY reached out to Seyfried and Sadoski's representatives for comment.
"The Dropout" actress, 40, and the "Life in Pieces" actor, 50, met in 2015 while starring together in the off-Broadway play "The Way We Get By."
They later costarred on the 2017 comedy film "The Last Word," where they played love interests and turned their on-screen chemistry into a real-world relationship.

Sadoski revealed that they eloped, and a week later Seyfried's publicist confirmed to USA TODAY that they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Nina.
The couple welcomed their second child, son Thomas Jr., in September 2020.

Though the two have largely kept details surrounding their marriage private, Seyfried shared a photo of Sadoski on her Instagram Story of a bearded dragon on his shoulder with text that reads "@thomassadoski is a #reptiledad"
In a 2023 interview with People, the "Mean Girls" actress said her parenting style with Sadoski is best compared to "yin and yang" came to parenting. Sadoski told the outlet he was proud to work alongside his wife, supporting the charity War Child USA.
In her 2022 Emmys acceptance speech, Seyfried thanked Sadoski after winning lead actress in a limited or anthology series for her performance in "The Dropout." In 2023, the two made a joint appearance on the red carpet for "The Crowded Room" premiere.
Seyfried told Vogue in a story published in January 2026 that her husband "sacrifices a lot for me" throughout her career.
