Mayor Mamdani's got jokes!
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted a cryptic message on X on Friday, Sept. 25.

The number, though, seemingly is in reference to Manchester City. The Athletic
reported Manchester City was found guilty on 114 of 115 charges "relating to breaches of the Premier League's financial regulations." The club was first charged with violating the EPL's financial regulations back in 2023, per The Athletic.
Mamdani is a longtime supporter of Arsenal, which is a rival of Manchester City. Arsenal won the Premier League back in May for its first title in 22 years. Manchester City is led by Norway's World Cup star Erling Haaland and is currently first in the EPL with a 5-0-0 record.
People were having a field day responding to Mamdani's post trolling Manchester City.
"I will move to NYC and get a green card asap just so i can vote for you," user @IshanMitra16 said.
"I'm not even from New York but you will always be my Mayor!!!!!!" @UTD_MNM replied.
"As a Chelsea fan who lives in Florida, that’s my president," @muffinman2077 added.
The league has reportedly not decided on sanctions that will be handed down to the club. Manchester City continues to deny wrongdoing and is expected to appeal the ruling.
Mamdani also celebrated the New York Knicks winning the NBA Finals this summer. He gave a rousing speech at the championship parade to commemorate their first title in 53 years.
"The Knicks did not just win for New York City," he said. "They won like New York City."
