The 2026-2027 NBA season is just a week old as the NBA Cup group stage begins this Friday, Oct. 30.
Along with the NBA Cup, a rematch of an opening night game is set to unfold as LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers host the reigning champion New York Knicks.

After beating the Knicks in the first game of the season, the 76ers continue to be off to a quick start as they head into the second week of action 3-1 with Tyrese Maxey averaging nearly 30 points per game.
The Knicks, however, are winless at 0-3. A bright spot for the Knicks thus far has been Karl-Anthony Towns, who's been a rebound machine as he's averaged 12 a game (third in NBA).
