The first full week of thehigh school football season has come and gone.
A majority of the country kicked off its season last week, but a few states had to wait another week, while some had to wait two.
Between the many of the east coast states and southwest states finally getting going, a majority of the Super 25 teams who didn't play last week will finally get the chance to shine on the gridiron.
A few Super 25 members won't be on the field this week as No. 6 Buford (GA) and No. 18 West Boca (FL) are off this week. Here's a look at what Super 25 teams play this week and who they'll be playing.
1. IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
Saturday, Aug. 29, vs. Cornerstone Christian (TX), 7 p.m. ET
Georgia quarterback commit Jayden Wade looked every bit of the five-star quarterback that he is
last Friday, throwing for 223 yards and two touchdowns in a 59-3 win over Lone Peak (UT). This week The Ascenders now square off with a Cornerstone Christian team that finished 6-4 last season.
2. Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV)
Saturday, Aug. 29, at Columbus (FL), 2 p.m. ET
The Gaels made a statement last week, beating St. John Bosco 38-28 in a meeting of programs both ranked inside the top three entering the year. Quarterback Ace Amina was solid in that win, passing for 227 yards and four touchdowns. This week, the Gaels will play a Columbus side that opened the year with a dominant 45-7 win over Southridge (FL).
3. St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD)
Friday, Aug. 28, at DeLand (FL), 7 p.m. ET
The Panthers will kick off their gauntlet-of-a-2026-schedule down in the Sunshine State against a DeLand side that finished the 2025 season 13-1. DeLand won 13 straight in 2025 before losing to Lake Mary 40-31 in late November.
4. Centennial (Corona, CA)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Santa Margarita (CA), 7 p.m. PST
USC four-star wide receiver commit Quentin Hale kicked off his season with a bang, catching eight passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-21 win over Servite (CA). This week the Huskies will be looking for some revenge against a Santa Margarita side that beat them 33-27 in overtime last season.
5. St. John Bosco (Bellflower, CA)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Roman Catholic (PA), 7 p.m. PST
The Braves will be looking to take out some frustrations after how last week went down. They trailed by 21 early before mounting a second-half comeback and ultimately coming up 10 points short of Bishop Gorman. They'll play a Roman Catholic team that went 12-3 and won a state title in Pennsylvania in 2025.
6. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. DeSoto (TX), 6 p.m. ET
A dominant defensive performance is what the Raiders got out of their Week 1 game as they dominated Western (FL) 42-0. This will be a little difficult against one of Texas' best programs in DeSoto. Led by Texas Tech four-star running back SaRod Baker, the Eagles went 13-3 last season winning the Texas UIL Class 6A Division II State Championship.
8. Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)
Saturday, Aug. 29, at Orem (UT), 7 p.m. MT
American Fork (UT) didn't pose much of a threat to the Monarchs as Mater Dei jumped out to a 14-point first-half lead and scored twice in the fourth quarter to secure the 31-11 victory. They'll play another program out of Utah this week but this time will go on the road. Orem gave up a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns in a 21-14 loss to Skyridge last week.
9. Thompson (Alabaster, AL)
Thursday, Aug. 27, vs. Clay-Chalkville (AL), 7 p.m. CT
Alabama commit Trent Seaborn had no problems picking apart the Central defense in the Warriors' season-opening 41-14 win passing for 335 yards and four touchdowns. This week they have another massive challenge on hand as they host a Clay-Chalkville squad that upset previously ranked Creekside (GA) 29-20.
10. Baylor (Chattanooga, TN)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Loudon Sports Academy (VA), 7 p.m. CT
Led by 250 all-purpose yards and three fourth-quarter touchdowns from Tennessee five-star running back commit David Gabriel Georges, the Red Raiders opened their season with a 38-20 win over fellow Super 25 team Brentwood Academy (TN). Loudon Sports Academy is kicking off its season in this game but received an added boost to an already loaded roster with the addition of former Bishop Gorman quarterback and three-star Kansas commit Chance Thomas.
11. Basha (Chandler, AZ)
Saturday, Aug. 29, vs. No. 20 Chandler (AZ), 7 p.m. MT
The 2025 Arizona AIA Open Division champions will kick off their season on ESPN2 against the team they beat for the state title last year. Basha rolled in their last meeting with Chandler by a score of 35-7.
12. Waxahachie (TX)
Friday, Aug. 28, at Ennis (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Our top team in Texas, led by five-star Texas A&M safety commit JayQuan Snell, kicks off its 2026 season against a familiar opponent. Waxahachie and Ennis have played each other to start the year last four seasons with Waxahachie winning those four games by an average of 23.8 points.
13. Carrollton (GA)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Columbia (GA), 7 p.m. ET
Dominant is the best way to describe the Trojans' first game of the year as they crushed Rome (GA) 55-7. Sophomore Georgia quarterback commit CJ Cypher threw for 269 yards and four touchdowns in the win, while sophomore running back Zachary Watts rushed for 101 yards and three more touchdowns. They'll carry that momentum into a game against a Columbia side who lost 35-26 to open the season.
14. Hamilton (Chandler, AZ)
Thursday, Aug. 27, at Brophy College Prep (AZ), 7 p.m. MT
While two of the state's top three teams square off across town, the Huskies will open their season against a team that went 7-5 last season. USC receiver commit Roye Oliver III will look to build upon a 2025 season where he scored 29 touchdowns and nearly had 2,000 receiving yards.
15. DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD)
Thursday, Aug. 28, vs. Archbishop Spalding (MD), 7 p.m. ET
Maryland's 2025 private school state champions will square off with each other to start the season in just the second meeting between the schools. Spalding won that first game back in 2024 26-10.
16. Duncanville (TX)
Friday, Aug. 28, at Allen (TX), 7 p.m. CT
Fans in the Lone Star State have no shortage of games to check out this week but Duncanville's season-opener against Allen is in must-watch territory. The teams combined to go 26-3 last season, and the Panthers' main job will be in slowing down Allen rising sophomore quarterback Ty Snell.
17. Carol City (Miami, FL)
Friday, Aug. 28, at Lee County (GA), 7:30 p.m. ET
Led by Miami five-star wide receiver commit Nick Lennear, Carol City rolled to a 38-3 opening-week win over Mainland (FL). This week they'll take the trip north up to the Peach State. Lee County opened the season with a dominant 51-0 win over Hapeville Charter (GA).
19. Southlake Carroll (TX)
Thursday, Aug. 27, vs. Jenks (OK), 7 p.m. CT
Texas and Oklahoma may not play until October but the high school version of that will go down Thursday night in the Cotton Bowl as the Dragons and Trojans square off for the first time ever. These two teams combined to go 24-3 last season, and each made deep postseason runs.
20. Chandler (AZ)
Saturday, Aug. 29, vs. No. 11 Basha (AZ), 7 p.m. MT
The Wolves will be looking for some revenge against a Bears team that dominated them in the state championship last season. Led by Oregon four-star commit Will Mencl, the Wolves finished 10-3 in 2025. Mencl accounted for 4,556 yards of offense and 50 total touchdowns.
21. Brentwood Academy (TN)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Brentwood (TN), 7 p.m. CT
After dropping their season-opener on the road in Chattanooga, the Eagles will get the chance to take out some frustrations in the "Battle of Granny White." Ole Miss quarterback commit Crews Jenkins fared well against Baylor, throwing for more than 200 yards and two touchdowns.
22. DeSoto (TX)
Friday, Aug. 28, at St. Thomas Aquinas (FL), 6 p.m. ET
The Eagles enter the 2026 season following a state championship run in 2025, led by four-star running back SaRod Baker. In 16 games last season, Baker rushed for 3,206 yards and 46 touchdowns. They'll need him to control the game against a St. Thomas Aquinas side that was dominant in Week 1.
23. Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA)
Friday, Aug. 28, vs. Centennial (CA), 7 p.m. PST
Led by junior quarterback Fletch Palmer, the son of Santa Margarita head coach and former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer, the Eagles shut out Jones (FL) 27-0 to open their season. Palmer was efficient in the win, completing 68% of his passes for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
24. East St. Louis (IL)
Friday, Aug. 28, at American Heritage (FL), 7 p.m. ET
One of the biggest wins in the first week of the year belonged to the Flyers as they ended previously ranked Mount Carmel's (IL) 19-game winning streak with a dominant 42-23 victory. They'll get a shot at another previously ranked Super 25 side in American Heritage. The Patriots struggled in their Week 1 game against West Boca (FL), losing 24-7.
25. Hough (Cornelius, NC)
Saturday, Aug. 29, vs. Cardinal Gibbons (NC), 8 p.m. ET
In a game that many expected to be an offensive showcase, Hough beat Northwestern (SC) 15-10 in a defensive slugfest. They'll look to get the offense going against a Cardinal Gibbons side that didn't have any issues last week scoring in a 45-6 win over Dudley (NC).
