The U.S. men's national team looks to make it two wins from two in the post-World Cup era on Tuesday, Sept. 29, as it hosts Chile in St. Louis.
In a match that saw 11 players earn their first caps, the USMNT beat Peru 4-1 in Orlando on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Two of those debutants, Justin Ellis and Julian Hall, scored in their first USMNT match, while Malik Tillman and Sebastian Berhalter also found the net.
Chile should provide a tougher test than Peru, but La Roja aren't the force they once were after missing three straight World Cups. They fell 1-0 to Canada on Saturday, Sept. 26, playing nearly the entire second half with nine men after two red cards.
With a quick turnaround and two more games after the Chile match, Mauricio Pochettino will likely
opt for a healthy amount of rotation on Tuesday at Energizer Park.
Pochettino mixed veterans with newcomers in his lineup against Peru, and he might do the same against Chile. There should be room for some returning starters, but expect a healthy amount of rotation as well.
