The 2026 Little League World Series has only four teams remaining, with two representing the United States and two from the International bracket. Fans will have to wait just one more day before these young athletes hit the field to battle for a coveted place in the LLWS championship game.
Although Friday, Aug. 28 will offer a brief pause in the action, Saturday’s bracket championship doubleheader is sure to deliver the kind of excitement that only the Little League World Series can provide.
Saturday’s action kicks off with the International Championship, where Tokyo, riding the momentum of a hard-fought win over Nicaragua, will seek redemption against Curaçao. Curaçao remains the only team to have defeated Tokyo in this year’s tournament, setting
the stage for an intense rematch with a LLWS championship berth on the line.
Later in the day, the spotlight turns to the United States Championship as West Side Little League from Hamilton, Ohio, fresh from a dominant 7-1 victory over Davenport Northwest Little League (Iowa), squares off against the squad from Nevada (Paseo Verde Little League).
The teams that come up short in Saturday’s semifinals will meet in the Consolation Game on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. ET. Meanwhile, the winners will advance to the championship game at 3 p.m. ET, where they’ll compete for a place in Little League history.
