The highs and lows of being an NFL kicker can be summed up succinctly in the final moments of overtime on Monday night.
The Buffalo Bills prevailed over the Los Angeles Rams when Tyler Bass nailed a 45-yard field goal for a 37-34 win. Bass could have been the goat after missing an extra point earlier, but he was true on all three of his field goal attempts.
On the other sideline, the Rams cut second-year kicker Harrison Mevis, who had a potential game-winner of his own from 48 yards out partially blocked just prior to Bass' heroics.
