The three-year-old soccer player in a viral video that showed him dribbling past defenders and scoring tremendous goals is getting support from one of the United States' top soccer players.
After showing the skills of the player, Nevada Pierre, the video cuts to a conversation his mother is having with police called to the facility as they communicate that league organizers want him removed from the league.
In body cam footage, the league organizer told police that Nevada's parents became argumentative when their son was benched.
Nevada's mother responds: "They're mad at my son because he actually plays soccer. They're literally kicking him out of this place because he's good at soccer."
The situation got the attention of children's entertainer
Ms. Rachel, who posted, "The police were called on a 3 year old Black boy because he’s too good at soccer. He was kicked out of the league. The cops showed up at the game. His face 🥺
"I don’t know much about sports but the World Cup and all the famous soccer players need to show up for this amazing 3 year old and shower him with love and awesome experiences!!!"
U.S. men's national team defender Alex Freeman is set to answer that call.
"i’m sorry this happened! This is not right! Taking the freedom and love away from him just because he’s talented is unacceptable. This will forever now be a memory and is not ok," the 22-year-old wrote. "Dm me if possible, will definitely set something up where you can get gear and maybe meet up.
"You don’t deserve this little man, but now use this as fuel to be the best person you can be and believe that you can do anything through adversity. Will definitely be following you and know you have a bright future! Let me know if you need anything!"
Freeman has enjoyed a remarkable rise, earning a starting role with Orlando City in the 2025 MLS season and quickly becoming a regular for the U.S. national team. He moved to La Liga club Villarreal in January.
The son of Super Bowl winning wide receiver Antonio Freeman, the Villarreal player was born in Baltimore but grew up in South Florida before joining the Orlando City academy near where the incident took place in Winter Park, Florida.
