Former President Barack Obama will be touching down in New York next month to headline an event alongside House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, reports say.
The news comes as Obama has increased appearances at Democratic Party initiatives, including another event set for Martha's Vineyard coming up and a campaign video made with a Senate nominee from Iowa.

Why is Obama headlining NY event with Jeffries?
First reported by the New York Times, the two politicians plan to host a fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
With dinner and a reception, Jeffries and Obama are planning to hold the event in September. The NYT wrote that Obama's part in the fundraiser would seemingly be private.
Where in NY is the event?
It wasn't immediately clear exactly where the fundraiser would be held,
although Bloomberg reported that it would be in New York City on Sept. 10.
When was Obama's last appearance in NYC?
In April, Obama went to a daycare in the Bronx with Mayor Zohran Mamdani. The two were photographed reading a children's book to a group of students.
