Philadelphia measles exposures 2026
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health recently announced two possible measles exposures, one at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (including the NICU) and another at the Philadelphia International Airport.
As of Sept. 23, no cases or deaths were reported in Philadelphia County, according to the state's measles dashboard.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health's measles dashboard, 835 cases have been reported in the state this year, includingfour measles-associated
deathsas of Sept. 23.
The dashboard updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and the most recently recorded 7-day period has shown 111 new cases.
Where is the PA measles outbreak?
State data shows the most highly concentrated area of Pennsylvania to be Lancaster County, with 342 cases, followed by Mifflin County with 94 cases.
Of the state's cases, the majority appear to be in those aged 25-49 years old.
Data also shows a clear uptick in reported cases in August and September.
How to prevent measles infections, stay safe from measles
The easiest way to keep yourself safe from measles is by making sure you're immune.
You're considered immune if you have a healthy immune system and have either had two MMR vaccine dosages, have had a past measles infection (with documentation) or were born before 1957.
If you need help finding or scheduling an MMR vaccine, you can find assistance through your local pharmacy, county or municipal health department or a state health center.
