Allegheny County voters will have expanded options to cast and return ballots ahead of the Nov. 3, 2026, general election after the Allegheny County Board of Elections approved plans for five satellite election offices and a dozen ballot drop-off locations.
According to the county, the satellite offices will allow voters to register, apply for, receive, vote and return mail-in or absentee ballots in one visit. Any registered Allegheny County voter may use any satellite location.
A satellite office will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 8 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall Auditorium in Oakland. Additional satellite offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 17, 18, 24 and 25 at Community College of Allegheny County's Homewood
campus, North Park Ice Rink, South Park Ice Rink and the County Office Building in Downtown Pittsburgh.
The Board of Elections also approved plans for ballot return sites throughout the county. In addition to the County Office Building, voters will be able to return ballots at locations including the 911 Center in Moon Township, Boyce Park Four Seasons Lodge in Plum, Carnegie Public Library, North Park Ice Rink, South Park Ice Rink, Dormont Pool, CCAC Homewood, Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank in Duquesne and Avalon Public Library.
Those sites will operate from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 30 and Nov. 2, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. The County Office Building will also accept completed mail ballots during regular business hours once ballots become available and on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ross Street entrance.
The board additionally directed election staff to develop three more ballot drop-off locations, bringing the countywide total to 12. Officials said those locations will be announced once finalized. The board also approved a resolution supporting voter registration efforts at naturalization ceremonies through election staff and volunteer organizations.
