Both lines are expected to be completed within three to four years, with Indian Railways investing fully in the projects. The minister also highlighted that these rail links will benefit both passenger and freight movement, providing economic growth, improved connectivity, and enhanced people-to-people relations. The Navratna company's latest earnings reflect a mixed performance, according to BSE data.
In the quarter ended June 2025, the company reported revenue of Rs 3,925.30 crore, down from Rs 6,345.11 crore in the March quarter and Rs 19,869.35 crore for the full fiscal year 2024-25.
Net profit for June 2025 stood at Rs 127.85 crore, compared with Rs 373.34 crore in March 2025 and Rs 1,188.62 crore for FY24-25.

Over the past six months, RVNL shares have underperformed the market, posting a decline of 2.96 per cent compared with a 3.8 per cent gain in the BSE Sensex.
