One can withdraw PF only with a fully verified KYC. You will need all four of these in place:
- Active UAN - your account must be activated.
- Aadhaar-linked mobile number - for OTP authentication.
- Active bank account - linked and verified in your UAN profile.
- PAN linked - else 30 per cent TDS applies if service is under 5 years.
Update your Bank details without employer approval
You don’t always need your employer to make changes to your EPFO KYC. If your UAN is active and linked with Aadhaar, you can update your bank account details directly through the EPFO Member Portal under Manage KYC, no employer approval required.
This self-service option applies only to bank account number and IFSC code updates. Changes to personal details like name, date of birth, or gender will still require employer verification.
