RVNL Share Price Target: Shares of Navratna railway company Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) are in uptrend for the last four consecutive trading sessions.
On Wednesday, the railway infrastructure company's shares climbed nearly 1 per cent to close at Rs 344.70, even as the broader market remained largely sideways. Vatsal Bhuva, Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, said that after remaining under pressure for a long time, a fresh buying interest is seen in the entire railway pack. He said that the sentiment has largely improved in the railway stocks and RVNL is showing good moves, backed by heavy volume. He said that RVNL shares have surged to nearly three-month high levels. On Wednesday, the counter saw a spurt in volume by more than 2.13 times on BSE. Speaking to ET NOW Swadesh on Wednesday, the analyst initiated a trading call on RVNL. Vatsal said that RVNL shares are gaining for the last four consecutive trading sessions and surged around 13 period in the period. He said that the railway stock has given a breakout from a falling channel which is a bullish technical signal. The current set up is looking strong in the near term as stock has given a positive closing for the fourth straight session on Wednesday. RVNL is currently placed above the 20-day exponential moving average which reinforces the short term strength. Besides, it is also sitting above 50-day and 100-day moving averages. "The current momentum could take RVNL shares higher in the very short term towards the target of Rs 360. Maintain stop loss at Rs 336," the analyst said. RVNL shares have underperformed the markets over the last one year. The railway counter has corrected 20 per cent in the last 12 months, compared with nearly 9 per cent rise in the benchmark Sensex. The railway stock has, however, sprinted 95 per cent in two years, 447 per cent in three years and 1400 per cent in three years, according to BSE data as on Dec 25. In the September 2025 quarter, the state-owned company posted around 20 per cent fall in consolidated net profit to Rs 230.52 crore, impacted by higher expenses. It had clocked a net profit of Rs 286.90 crore in the year-ago period. The company's total income rose to Rs 5,333.36 crore from Rs 5,136.07 crore during July-September FY25. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited provides rail construction services. The company designs and constructs bridges, roads, and related infrastructure for the national transporter.
