What is the story about?
Groww Multicap Fund has reported higher returns than its benchmark in the first year since its launch in December 2024, according to data released by the fund.
From its inception on December 16, 2024 to November 30, 2025, the scheme delivered returns of about 9.14%, while the Nifty 500 Multicap 50:25:25 Total Return Index (TRI) returned around 7.68% over the same period.
The fund operated during a year marked by volatile equity markets, shifts in domestic monetary policy and global trade-related developments.
During this period, the scheme maintained exposure across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap stocks in line with its multicap mandate.
Portfolio construction was guided by the fund’s stated Quality and Growth at a Reasonable Price (QGaRP) framework. In the large-cap segment, the fund’s performance was broadly in line with the Nifty 100 TRI, based on available disclosures.
Sector allocations during the year reflected exposure to automobiles, capital goods and infrastructure-linked companies, as well as select banking, insurance and non-banking financial companies. The fund also held positions aligned with themes such as consumption, capital expenditure and financial services.
Groww Multicap Fund is managed by Anupam Tiwari and Saptarshee Chatterjee. The scheme permits lump-sum investments starting at ₹500 and systematic investment plans from ₹100. An exit load of 1 per cent applies to redemptions within one year, with no exit load thereafter.
