What is the story about?
Mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund has launched the Mahindra Manulife Innovation Opportunities Fund, an open-ended equity scheme based on an innovation-themed investment approach.
The new fund offer (NFO) will open for subscription on January 9 and close on January 23. The scheme will reopen for continuous sale and repurchase from February 2, the fund house said.
According to the offer document, the scheme will invest primarily in equity and equity-related instruments of companies identified as following an innovation theme. These may include firms undertaking product, process or service-led changes across sectors. The scheme will allocate 80%–100% of its assets to equity and equity-related instruments of such companies, while up to 20% may be invested in equities outside the innovation theme.
The scheme also has the option to invest up to 20% of its net assets in foreign securities, including overseas mutual funds, up to 20% in debt and money market instruments, and up to 10% in units of infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs). It may also invest in real estate investment trusts (REITs), as permitted.
The fund will be managed by Kirti Dalvi and Renjith Sivaram Radhakrishnan. Mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund is a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services and Manulife Investment Management (Singapore).
