The feature addresses a common limitation faced by credit card users, who often cannot use cards at smaller merchants that traditionally accept only UPI. With this integration, RuPay cardholders can make payments using credit wherever UPI is accepted, without the need for the physical card.
Users can link their RuPay Credit Card to UPI on Paytm by following these steps:
- Open the Paytm app
- Tap on ‘All
- Select ‘Link RuPay Credit Card’
- Choose the issuing bank from the list of RuPay providers
- Set a UPI PIN for the card
- Start making payments instantly using the linked card
