Paytm Lets You Link RuPay Card to UPI

Paytm (One 97 Communications Limited) has introduced a feature allowing users to link their RuPay Credit Cards to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). The move enables credit-backed UPI payments at a wide range of offline and

online outlets, including kirana stores, fuel stations, food vendors, and e-commerce platforms.

The feature addresses a common limitation faced by credit card users, who often cannot use cards at smaller merchants that traditionally accept only UPI. With this integration, RuPay cardholders can make payments using credit wherever UPI is accepted, without the need for the physical card.

Users can link their RuPay Credit Card to UPI on Paytm by following these steps:

• Open the Paytm app


• Tap on ‘All
  UPI Services’ from the homepage


• Select ‘Link RuPay Credit Card’


• Choose the issuing bank from the list of RuPay providers


• Set a UPI PIN for the card


• Start making payments instantly using the linked card

In addition to this feature, Paytm has rolled out several enhancements for its mobile payments platform. These include the ability to hide or unhide specific transactions, home screen widgets such as ‘Receive Money’ for faster payments, personalised UPI IDs, and the option to download UPI statements in Excel or PDF format. The app now also displays the

total balance across all UPI-linked bank accounts.

Paytm has expanded its UPI services internationally to countries including the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, allowing Indian users to make digital payments more conveniently while traveling abroad.
