USA TODAY reported that President Donald Trump's approval is "as low as it's ever been."
In part, USA TODAY reported, a recent CNN report found that 73% of respondents to an approval poll said Trump"hasn't paid enough attention to the most important issues in this country," compared to 27% of respondents who said he has the right priorities.
Support from Republicans has also slipped according to the same poll, with 78% of Republicans approving of him and only 19% saying they're enthusiastic for the rest of his term, down from 38% in the spring. In general, the poll found 34% of U.S. adults approve of Trump's job performance, matching a career low he reached after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots in Washington, D.C.
Disapproval was placed at 66%
in the poll, conducted July 23-27 among 1,225 U.S. adults, with a margin of error of 3.2 percentage points. Additionally, a "record low" of only 15% approve of him strongly, compared to 50% who disapprove strongly.

As previously reported by the Citizen Times, a study from Catawba College published June 23 surveyed 1,000 online respondents in an online survey. Responses found a 43% approval rating and a 54% disapproval rating (with an overall margin of error of +/-3.83%) among North Carolina residents.

The latest Catawba College report also surveyed respondents on N.C. Gov. Josh Stein's approval rating among Tar Heel State residents. The survey found that among 905 weighted likely voters, Stein held a 53% approval rating and a 27% disapproval rating.
