morning fire in Asheville’s River Arts District left a popular restaurant gutted and smoldering.
White Duck Taco Shop, at 388 Riverside Drive, has been closed since it was swamped in flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in September 2024.
The restaurant building, a curve-roofed aluminum Quonset hut, burned Sept. 14.
