Hipcamp's 2026's best NC campsites includes 8 top ones in Western NC

Hipcamp has named a number of North Carolina camping locations, from tent camping to "glamping" sites, in its best of 2026.

Founded in 2013, Hipcamp is a website and app designed to help campers find and book campsites. The site has over 140,000 bookable campsites - more than 5 million acres of land - listed across three continents. Every year, Hipcamp compiles data from bookings, reviews and ratings to identify top-performing properties for the Hipcamp Awards.

In 2026, categories included a wide range of camping experiences, including tent camping, sites for RVs and trailers, farmstays, luxury "glamping" and more. Hipcamp also provided a list of the best camping locations in North Carolina.
