
The 2026 Western North Carolina high school fall sports have reached the halfway mark of the season.
It's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina girls Athlete of the Week.
Vote for the girls athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Sept. 17 at noon.
Reece Shuman, Asheville Christian Academy: Shuman recorded 23 kills in a 3-1 win vs. Reynolds.
Bristol Brooks, Franklin: Brooks racked up 45 assists and five kills in a 3-2 win vs. West Henderson.
Morgan Cress, Franklin: Cress finished first in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19:43.70 in the Keith Payne Memorial Invitational.
Lydia Goldstein, Enka: Goldstein recorded a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 20:43.00 in the Keith Payne Memorial
Invitational.
Shelbie Cannon, Hendersonville: Cannon tallied 26 assists in a 3-0 win vs. Avery County.
Abby Lewis, Polk County: Lewis recorded eight aces and 12 assists in the 3-0 victory vs. Madison.
Ellison Duvall, Owen: Duvall had five aces and eight blocks in a 3-1 win vs. Hendersonville.
Daphne Barlow, Robbinsville: Barlow tallied 42 digs in the 3-1 win vs. Hayesville.
