The 2026 Western North Carolina high school football season is entering Week 7, while the fall sports season heads into Week 8.
It's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina boys Athlete of the Week.
Vote for the boys athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Oct. 1 at noon.
Shiloh Mukendi, Asheville School: Mukendi ran for 390 yards and five touchdowns on 28 carries in the 41-34 win vs. Christ School.
Kane Sinex, East Henderson: Sinex recorded nine saves while allowing one goal in a 2-1 win vs. North Henderson.
Garrett Young, Franklin: Young rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in a 38-0 win vs. Pisgah.
Kyngston Denson, North Buncombe: Denson rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 22
carries in a 49-27 win vs. McDowell.
Parker Willis, North Henderson: Willis rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries in a 42-6 win vs. Brevard.
Silas Hardin, Pisgah: Hardin won the boys' three-mile run at Reynolds with a time of 15:51.40.
Sam Trantham, Tuscola: Trantham ran for 209 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries, and threw a 36-yard touchdown pass in a 41-13 win vs. Smoky Mountain.
Luke Schlegel, West Henderson: Schlegel collected a hat trick in an 11-2 win vs. Pisgah.
