Alexander Trowbridge, also known by his nickname "Snow," has been sentenced to more than 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking and related crimes.
Several members of the drug trafficking organization, which Trowbridge was identified as the leader of, have already been convicted and sentenced in federal court for their roles in the group that operated out of Henderson, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
"This sentence reflects the commitment of law enforcement agencies working together to hold those who traffic fentanyl accountable," said Jae W. Chung, Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Atlanta Field Division, in an Aug. 24 news release on the sentencing. "Through strong partnerships and coordinated enforcement, we will continue
disrupting the flow of this deadly drug and doing everything we can to keep our communities safe. Together, we are working toward a Fentanyl Free America."

Who is Alexander Trowbridge?
Also known as "Snow," 41-year-old Alexander Trowbridge was described in the Aug. 24 news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Eastern District of N.C. as the leader of a drug trafficking organization that sold heroin and fentanyl sourced from New Jersey throughout Vance, Durham, Warren, Wake, Wilson, Franklin and Granville counties in North Carolina.
The release noted that fentanyl distributed by the group was known for being distributed in baggies marked with a "Toy Story" stamp, a trademark they used to identify their product.
What was Alexander Trowbridge charged with?
According to the news release, Trowbridge was charged with the following:
- Conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl and more than 2.2 pounds of heroin
- Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin; possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime
- Possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
What was Alexander Trowbridge's sentence?
For the crimes detailed above, a federal judge sentenced Trowbridge to almost 27 years in federal prison.
Where is Henderson, NC?
Henderson is near the Raleigh-Durham area of the state, roughly 260 miles from Asheville. The news release noted several locations in Henderson used by Trowbridge and his associates, including 56 Kelly Road, 100 Kelly Road and 66 Pinecone Lane.
