Week 1 of the 2026 Western North Carolina high school football season is almost here.
Teams kicked off practice on July 29 and can start holding preseason scrimmages on Aug. 7.
Here is a list of every WNC high school football scrimmage.
Aug. 7
Andrews at Cooper Basin (Tenn.) at 7 p.m.
Asheville High at Brevard at 7 p.m.
Cherokee at Chuckey-Doak (Tenn.) at 6 p.m.
Chase Jamboree at 7 p.m.: East Henderson, West Henderson, North Gaston, Chase and Mountain View Prep (S.C.)
Chesnee (S.C.) at Mitchell at 7:30 p.m.
Hayesville at Union County (Ga.) at 7:30 p.m.
Franklin vs. Reynolds at 6 p.m.
Mountain Heritage at North Buncombe at 6 p.m.
Four-team scrimmage at Polk County at 6 p.m.: Polk County, R-S Central, Blue Ridge (S.C.) and Greenville Hurricanes (S.C.)
Pisgah at Erwin at 6 p.m.
Three-team scrimmage at McDowell: McDowell, Owen and Tuscola
Towns County (Ga.) at Rosman at 7:30 p.m.

Maroon Devil Football Jamboree at 10 a.m.: Swain County, North Henderson, Robbinsville and Princeton
