The official start of fall is less than a month away, and seasonal flavors are returning to menus in Western North Carolina.
Starbucks representatives have stated that the Pumpkin Spice Latte or "PSL" is the chain's most popular seasonal beverage. AAvailable hot, iced or blended, the PSL is made with real pumpkin flavoring, pumpkin spices including cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, Starbucks Signature Espresso and steamed milk. The drink is topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.

When does the pumpkin spice latte return to Starbucks?
According to an Aug. 24 news release from Starbucks, the PSL will return to the coffee chain on Aug. 25 this year.

The Starbucks fall menu for 2026 has already been released. The menu items announced will become available at Starbucks stores on Aug. 25 along with the PSL.

New drinks on Starbucks' fall 2026 menu include:

- Pumpkin spice chai
- Iced banana bread latte

New food items include:
- Chicken bacon protein pocket
- Hedgehog cake pop
New snacks will also be offered at stores including Chomps original beef sticks, Olli genoa salami and fontina cheese snack trays, Floura blueberry matcha fiber bars and Circ peanut chocolate chip protein bites.
