
The 2026 Western North Carolina high school fall sports season is entering Week 9 while football is heading into Week 8.
It's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina girls Athlete of the Week.
Vote for the girls athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Oct. 8 at noon.
Anna Barrett, Asheville Christian Academy:
Barrett won the ACA Home Meet with a time of 18:59.40.Shelbie Cannon, Hendersonville: Cannon collected 31 assists, 12 digs and eight aces in a 3-1 win vs. Owen.
Abby Lewis, Polk County: Lewis tallied 20 assists and 23 digs in a 3-1 win vs. Madison.
Addie Frellick, Reynolds: Frellick had 20 assists and 15 digs in a a 3-1 win vs. Asheville Christian Academy.
Emma Miller, Smoky Mountain: Miller was the
runner-up at the Black Knight Invite with a time of 23:12.34.
Aria Toineeta, Swain County: Toineeta had 12 kills, three aces and seven digs in a 3-1 win vs. Andrews.
Samantha Horton, Tuscola: Horton recorded 11 kills, eight blocks and six digs in a 3-2 win vs. Rosman.
Ansley Starling, West Henderson: Starling tallied 23 assists in a 3-0 win vs. Smoky Mountain.
