Week 2 of the 2026 North Carolina High School Athletic Association volleyball season is in the books.
The top teams are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.
Here are the WNC high school volleyball Super 10 rankings after Week 2.
1. Franklin (8-0)
Franklin has only dropped one set in 2026, which came in a 2-1 win vs. East Gaston. Setter Bristol Brooks leads North Carolina in assists with 243 so far this season.
This week: at No. 6 Brevard (Aug. 24), vs. Pisgah (Aug. 27). Last week: No. 1.
2. Asheville Christian Academy (7-1)
Middle hitter Olivia Johnson recorded 15
kills and a block to lead the Lions to a 3-0 win over then-No. 2 Asheville High on Aug. 19.
This week: vs. No. 5 Polk County (Aug. 25), at Davidson Day (Aug. 28). Last week: No. 3.
3. West Henderson (5-0)
The Falcons knocked off three top-10 opponents last week in No. X Brevard, No. X Polk County and then-No. 8 Owen. Middle hitter Kaitlyn Auten recorded 11 kills and a block in a 3-1 win over the Blue Devils on Aug. 20.
This week: vs. Tuscola (Aug. 25), vs. Hendersonville (Aug. 26), at East Henderson (Aug. 27). Last week: No. 4.
No. 4 Roberson (6-3)
The Rams split their matches last week, defeating Avery County 3-0 and falling to East Rutherford 3-2.
This week: vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.) (Aug. 25). Last week: No. 6.
No. 5 Polk County (3-1)
Outside hitter Reeve Carroll helped the Wolverines pull off the 3-2 reverse sweep against R-S Central on Aug. 20. She had 13 kills and 24 digs in the win.
This week: No. 2 Asheville Christian Academy (Aug. 25), vs. Owen (Aug. 27). Last week: No. 7.
6. Brevard (2-2)
The Blue Devils lost both of their matches to No. X Reynolds and No. 3 West Henderson last week. The road doesn't get easier this week as they host top-ranked Franklin.
This week: vs. No. 1 Franklin (Aug. 25), at North Henderson (Aug. 27). Last week: No. 5.
7. Asheville High (4-6)
The Cougars went 1-5 in a tournament in Tennessee this past weekend. Their lone victory came against No. X Reynolds 2-0. Libero Poopy Jones had 13 digs in the win.
This week: Open. Last week: No. 2.
8. Cherokee (4-1)
The Braves swept Pisgah and Summit Charter Academy last week. Middle hitter Joscelyn Stamper had 10 kills, two aces, two blocks and 15 digs in the win over the Bears.
This week: at Andrews (Aug. 24), vs. Murphy (Aug. 25), vs. Swain County (Aug. 27). Last week: No. 9.
9. Reynolds (6-3)
Setter Addie Frellick recorded 10 assists, 14 digs and two aces to help the Rockets defeat No. 6 Brevard 3-0 last week.
This week: at Owen (Aug. 25), vs. Mountain Heritage (Aug. 27). Last week: Unranked.
10. Avery Conty (4-1)
Outside hitter Caroline Hollifield has averaged over four kills per set to lead the Vikings to a 4-1 record so far in 2026.
This week: vs. Johnson City (Tenn.), vs. North Buncombe (Aug. 26), at Madison (Aug. 27). Last week: Unranked.
