The Powerball jackpot is inching ever closer to the $1 billion mark after another drawing with no winner on Saturday, Aug. 8.
The jackpot sits at just over $900 million, holds the seat as the eighth-highest jackpot in the history of the game and is the highest jackpot of 2026. It has been more than three months since someone has taken home the grand prize, when the last Powerball jackpotwas won on May 2 by two tickets in Texas and Florida, and it was $20 million.
But even it there was no jackpot winner, there were still plenty of prizes that went out.

There was no big winner in the Aug. 8 drawing, but a ticket out of Texas won a $2 million prize and tickets bought in Arizona, Florida, Minnesota and New York hit for $1 million, according to Powerball's website.
