The first week of the 2026 Western North Carolina high school football season is in the rearview mirror.
It's time to vote for this week's Ingles Western North Carolina boys Athlete of the Week.
Vote for the boys athlete who had the best performance last week. The poll closes on Aug. 27 at noon.
Clement Davidson, Asheville High: Davidson rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries in a 53-22 win vs. East Rutherford.
Luke Hughes, Asheville Christian Academy: Hughes recorded six goals in the 8-3 win vs. Pisgah.
Kingston Welch, Cherokee: Welch ran for 208 yards and six touchdowns, including the game-winning score, on 27 carries in a 66-60 double-overtime win against North Buncombe.
Leo Romero, Enka: Romero recorded a hat trick in a 4-0 win
vs. Chase.
Dennis Arce, Madison: Arce amassed 11 saves in a 2-0 win vs. IC Imagine.
Easton Greene, Madison: Greene completed six of nine passes for 58 yards and threw a touchdown pass. He also ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries in the 21-0 win vs. Andrews.
Bryson Collins, Smoky Mountain: Collins made seven saves while allowing one goal in a 3-1 win vs. Owen.
Blake Garrett, West Henderson: Garrett completed 19 of 26 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 110 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries in a 34-21 win vs. Erwin.
