Released by the Cardinals following seven seasons in the Valley, Murray signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Vikings.
Murray won the starting quarterback job during training camp in August, turning back a challenge
from last year's starter, J.J. McCarthy.
Before being injured in the first quarter against the Packers, Murray went 3-for-5 for 18 yards with an interception.
Carson Wentz was named Murray's backup and helped lead Minnesota to its Week 1 win. He also started the Week 2, 9-3 win in Chicago against the Bears. He finished by completing only 11 of his 20 pass attempts for just 143 yards on a rainy afternoon.
