A one-year contract extension for Arizona State women's basketball coach Molly Miller is in the works.
Axios first reported on the item, which will go before the Board of Regents later this month.
The deal would extend her contract through the 2030-31 season and would increase her base salary to $850,000 on May 1, 2027. She would also receive subsequent raises up to $1 million on May 1, 2030.
Miller led ASU to a 24-11 record and an NCAA tournament appearance in her first season.
The Sun Devils hadn’t won more than 20 games since the 2019-20 season, when the pandemic canceled ASU’s likely NCAA Tournament bid.
The 24-win season marked one of the bigger turnarounds in the nation, as ASU posted just 10 wins in 2024-25.

Miller initially signed a five-year deal worth a little more than $4 million before bonuses that expires in April 2030.
The agenda item for the proposed extension for the Board of Regents included several points in favor of her deal, including: ASU setting single-game and season attendance records, Miller's recruitment and development model resulting in a tournament berth and broadcast viewership increasing by 53%.
The Board of Regents will vote to approve or deny the extension on Thursday, Aug. 27.
