A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing last weekend outside a Phoenix restaurant.
Detectives arrested 25-year-old Traquan Munson on Aug. 18 on suspicion of second-degree murder, police spokesperson Sgt. John Buchanan said in an email update. Munson was booked into a Maricopa County jail, where he is being held on a $500,000 bond, according to online jail records.
Munson is suspected of fatally stabbing 29-year-old Lonnie Shepherd Jr. during an altercation around 11:51 p.m. on Aug. 15 outside the restuarant near 24th Avenue and Thomas Road, police said.
Shepherd was found lying on the ground outside the restaurant with at least one stab wound. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Munson is scheduled to appear in
court on Aug. 25, jail records showed.
