Arizona Cardinals second-round NFL draft pick BJ Ojulari has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Ojulari, who was an outside linebacker for the Cardinals for three seasons after being drafted in 2023, was released by the Cardinals on Aug. 31, shortly after the Cardinals' preseason slate ended. Ojulari missed 26 out of a possible 51 games for the Cardinals due to injury during his tenure in the desert. Playing in eight games last season and none in 2024, Ojulari also never started a game for the Cardinals.
His best overall season in Arizona came in 2023 when he played all 17 games and posted a career-high six quarterback hits.
He joins a Jaguars defense that allowed just 10 points to the Cleveland Browns in Week
1. They tied for the most amount of sacks in Week 1, sacking Deshaun Watson five times.
Jacksonville would be adding to a group of pass-rush options that include former first-round draft picks Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker. Both are defensive ends who each had a sack and a half in Week 1, and have had 10 or more quarterback hits in each season of their careers.
Ojulari, who is 24 years old, is a 6-foot-2-inch LSU product weighing 248 pounds.
