EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — It didn’t take long for former Arizona State star running back Cam Skattebo to get into the spirit of things before he and the New York Giants meet the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 4.
After stepping out onto the field and catching a couple of quick pregame passes, he turned on the juice as soon as he saw his teammate, fullback Patrick Ricard. Skattebo ran toward him, and the two began head-butting each other like a couple of rams.
“That Skattebo, I’m just waiting for him to get a concussion,” an elderly gentleman wearing a Giants uniform said to a friend as he climbed out of a white minivan in the stadium parking lot. “That kid is crazy.”

Skattebo makes no apologies
for his punishing style of play, but the NFL did hit him with a fine this past week for illegal use of his helmet during New York’s Week 3 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Skattebo plastered a linebacker — face first — to try and spring a block. It wound up costing him $7,073.
