On Saturday, Oct. 3, Crescent Ballroom is celebrating 15 years as a cultural hub in downtown Phoenix with an all-day anniversary event. The bill is stacked with 15 local artists — 10 bands, 4 DJs, and the trivia/karaoke host Corey G.
“I can’t believe Crescent Ballroom has been around for 15 years,” owner Charlie Levy said in a statement. “Over 10,000 bands, dance troupes, authors, DJs and even a wedding or two have graced that stage. It’s something special for me and the team.”
In an effort to highlight the history and future of the local music scene that’s always had a home at Crescent Ballroom, every artist on the bill has Arizona roots.
Crescent Ballroom 15th Anniversary Celebration lineup
The lineup is a mix of Crescent’s favorite locals, some of whom have played the venue since day one, including
Las Calakas, Pariah Pete, MRCH, Practically People, Vinyl Station, Samuel L Cool J, Jerusafunk, Tournament, SweetBleeders, Winston Williams and DJs Djents, Sean Watson, Hartbreaks and Mitch Freedom.
The music will be spread across two stages starting at 3 pm.
In the statement, Levy said, “Our booking manager Taylor and our original booker Stephen Chilton have created a great party to celebrate the anniversary. I hope everyone in the Phoenix area and beyond can stop by. I want to thank everyone who has been on that stage, everyone who has come to a show at Crescent, and everyone who’s worked at Crescent. It’s been a dream come true.”
A portion of all proceeds will support the nonprofit Logan's Healing Sounds Fund.
