Teddy Swims launched The Ugly Tour at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, Sept. 22, treating the crowd to a hit-filled setlist on a tour named for an album due to be released in January 2027.
“Mr. Know It All,” a lead single about the pain of romantic self-sabotage, was released in April, hitting No. 38 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and No. 11 on the Adult Contemporary chart as the first taste of “Ugly.”
Swims performed that lead single as part of his star-studded mainstage Coachella set, which featured appearances from David Lee Roth, Joe Jonas and Vanessa Carlton.
Swims rose to fame in 2023 with the release of “Lose Control,” a Diamond-certified smash that set the record for the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 hit after spending
112 weeks on the chart. In addition to topping the Hot 100 and five radio-format charts, the songs has surpassed 5 billion global streams.
