Football season is almost in full swing, and with it comes all the beer, hot dogs and other game day food and drinks.
Innerbody analyzed national search data to figure out what America's favorite beers really were, as well as regional drinking divides and the states that love beer the most. They used Google Trends search data across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., over 12 months.
Some states have chosen to stick by hometown favorites, while others have gone with ones that aren't even made in the United States.
The U.S. beer market is worth roughly $113 billion each year and there are more than 9,700 breweries nationwide, according to Innerbody.

What is the most popular beer in Arizona?
Arizonans have ranked the Belgian lager Stella Artois as their most popular, along with the states of Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
How interested is Arizona in beer?
Innerbody did include a disclaimer that, while search interest may be low in certain states, that doesn't mean they don't have a beer culture. In fact, several have some of the country's most developed craft brewing scenes.
"In other words, being surrounded by breweries might lead to a robust, yet very diverse beer interest and fewer people searching for Bud Light," Innerbody states.
Arizona finds itself almost in the middle, falling at No. 21 with a search interest index of 50.94.
Top states include:
- Wisconsin, which has a search index of 98.53.
- Wyoming, with a search index of 86.54.
- Kansas, at an 82.4 search index.
- Nebraska, with a search index of 81.77.
- Iowa, with a search index of 76.37.
The bottom states include Mississippi, Washington, Georgia, Utah and Alaska in last place.

Some beers have strong followings nationwide, while others seem to be less popular choices.
The most popular beer brands are:
- Michelob Ultra
- Bud Light
- Stella Artois
- Budweiser
- Guinness
The least popular beer brands are:
- Milwaukee's Best Ice
- Harp Lager
- Sierra Nevada
- Samuel Adams
- Keystone Light
