Arizona Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald spoke with The Arizona Republic after throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Diamondbacks vs. Yankees game on Sunday, Sept. 20, at Chase Field.
Fitzgerald, who played 17 seasons in the NFL — all with the Cardinals — performed the first-pitch honor at the Diamondbacks' final home game of the regular season. They were 44-36 at Chase Field this season entering home game No. 81.
Fitzgerald was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame last month in Canton, Ohio.
