A Phoenix police officer suffered minor injuries after a driver struck him while fleeing a traffic stop.
Officers pulled over a vehicle around 7:40 p.m. Aug. 2 near 40th Avenue and Grant Street in west Phoenix, spokesperson Sgt. John Buchanan said.
The passenger was being detained when the driver put the vehicle in drive, knocked an officer to the ground and drove away, Buchanan said.
The officer was treated for their injuries but did not go to the hospital, according to Buchanan.
The driver had not yet been located nor had the officer's identity been revealed, as of Aug. 3.
