The Phoenix Suns look to bounce back from a 41-point loss in their season opener as they face the Golden State Warriors in their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mortgage Matchup Center.
NBA TV is televising the 7 p.m. game as well as CBS5 and Arizona Family Sports.
The Suns (0-1) trailed by as many as 52 points in falling to the Portland Trail Blazers, 124-83, on Oct. 21.
“We weren't stopping the bleeding,” Suns forward Dillon Brooks said after Friday’s practice on Oct. 23. “It's not good that it's the first game, but overall, you know, it's not like Game 50 or we're in a predicament with (playoff) seeding or whatever it is. It's good for us to get slapped in the mouth like that from that team and we're going to learn from it.”
Suns coach Jordan
Ott said after Friday’s practice that Oso Ighodaro won’t play Saturday. The backup big is listed as doubtful on the injury report. Luke Kennard, who sat out Wednesday's opener, was listed as questionable for Saturday with left knee tendinopathy. Mark Williams (left shoulder surgery) is expected to miss multiple months with the injury he suffered in an offseason workout.
The Warriors (0-2) remain winless after falling to the Memphis Grizzlies, 111-108, Friday night. This will be the third game in four days and second of a back-to-back for Golden State to open the season.
