One of metro Phoenix's most luxurious resorts is about to get more opulent.
Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Paradise Valley announced a multiyear, multimillion-dollar transformation that will involve room renovations and improved dining and spa options.
The announcement of the upgrades at the 53-acre resort coincides with its transition to independent ownership and management, with local firms Berger Holdings and RJ Hospitality collaborating on the resort's renovation.

world-class service that our neighbors and loyal resort guests have cherished for decades."
What's changing at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain?
Upgrades at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain will take place over multiple years and will debut in phases.
First is a renovation and redesign of all 110 guest rooms and casitas, which hotel staff described as a "comprehensive interior refresh" that would modernize the experience offered in each room. The room renovations are expected to be complete in September 2027.
After the room upgrades, the resort plans "elevated enhancements" to its on-site restaurants and spa, planned for 2028. Sanctuary's current restaurants include its flagship fine dining restaurant Elements, cocktail bar Jade Bar and its Table XII private dining experience. The Sanctuary Spa boasts 12 indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a Zen meditation garden and a reflection pond.
How much will the resort renovation cost?
Sanctuary staff said the renovation would be a "multimillion-dollar" project, but did not provide a specific dollar amount.
When was Sanctuary Camelback Mountain last renovated?
The planned room, restaurant and spa upgrades at Sanctuary will build on a recent refresh of its meeting and event space.
The $7 million project included redesigns of its 3,851-square-foot ballroom and flexible seating options added to the Views Lawn and Terrace.
The resort's event space upgrades debuted in January.
