Thursday Night Football prediction, Oct. 8
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys, 5:15 p.m., Amazon Prime (stream with Prime Video)
No Baker Mayfield, no chance? Jalon Daniels did some nice things in his first start in NFL Week
4, but he is an undrafted rookie QB. Dak Prescott and Dallas will be able to outscore Tampa Bay to move above .500, while the Buccaneers will fall to 0-5.
Prediction: Cowboys 30, Buccaneers 20
NFL international game prediction, Oct. 11
Philadelphia Eagles vs Jacksonville Jaguars (London, England), 6:30 a.m., NFL Network (stream with FUBO)
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars are starting to really come together, while Jalen Hurts and the Eagles appear to be falling apart. Those trends will continue with a Week 5 win for Jacksonville over Philadelphia at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Prediction: Jaguars 27, Eagles 20
Sunday early NFL game predictions, Oct. 11
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Is this the week that Malik Willis and the Dolphins will break through for their first win of the season? We don't see it happening, no matter how depleted Cincinnati might be. Joe Burrow will find a way to lead the Bengals to a win in Miami.
Prediction: Bengals 24, Dolphins 21
Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Drake Maye had a bounce-back game in Week 4's big win over the Bills for New England. The Patriots will build off it with a win over Kirk Cousins and the Las Vegas Raiders at home.
Prediction: Patriots 31, Raiders 23
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Vikings' defense has been otherworldly in Minnesota's 4-0 start, allowing less than 13 points per game. Tyler Shough and New Orleans will score more than that, but not enough to beat Kyler Murray and company.
Prediction: Vikings 23, Saints 20
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Geno Smith and the Jets have lost three straight after starting the season with a win. Deshaun Watson and the Browns have won three straight after starting the season with a loss. Those streaks will continue with Cleveland's defense making some big plays on New York.
Prediction: Browns 21, Jets 17
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Steelers had a mini-bye after playing on Thursday Night Football to prep for this game, while the Colts had to fly back from London. Advantage: Pittsburgh. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers will outduel Daniel Jones and Indianapolis.
Prediction: Steelers 23, Colts 19
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans, 10 a.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
Both of these AFC South teams are 0-4, but the Texans have the better offense with Nico Collins back. Houston will be able to break through for its first win of the season over Cam Ward and Tennessee in Nashville.
Prediction: Texans 24, Titans 17
New York Giants at Washington Commanders, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Jayden Daniels' status looms large over this game, but the Commanders' leaky defense might make the QB in this game for Washington irrelevant. The New York Giants will improve to 4-1 with a big win on the road.
Prediction: Giants 24, Commanders 23
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers, 10 a.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Bears have been the more impressive team this season, even with Caleb Williams' injury. Chicago's defense can help it beat Jordan Love and Green Bay on the road with Tyson Bagent playing in Ben Johnson's system.
Prediction: Bears 27, Packers 21
Sunday late NFL game predictions, Oct. 11
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers, 1:05 p.m., CBS (stream with FUBO)
The Los Angeles Chargers can't fall to 0-5, can they? Yes, they can. Bo Nix will outduel Justin Herbert, and Denver will beat the Bolts at SoFi Stadium to move the Broncos to 3-2.
Prediction: Broncos 21, Chargers 17
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
The Lions are 2-0 at home and 0-2 on the road, but we have a feeling that Jared Goff and Detroit's offense are going to get very comfortable at State Farm Stadium. Jacoby Brissett and Arizona will lose a fourth straight game.
Prediction: Lions 30, Cardinals 20
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks, 1:25 p.m., FOX (stream with FUBO)
Brock Purdy and the 49ers have really impressed during their 4-0 start, but Sam Darnold and the Seahawks are at home for this game, and the 12th Man will make a difference.
Prediction: Seahawks 23, 49ers 21
Sunday Night Football prediction, Oct. 11
Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons, 5:20 p.m., NBC (stream with Peacock)
Lamar Jackson's status looms large over this game, but the Ravens' defense will step up to help the team eke out a win over Michael Penix Jr. and the Falcons in Atlanta.
Prediction: Ravens 28, Falcons 27
Monday Night Football prediction, Oct. 12
Buffalo Bills at Los Angeles Rams, 5:15 p.m., ESPN (stream with FUBO)
The Rams appeared to get on track late in their comeback win over the Eagles in Week 4. Can they stay on that track? Yes, Matthew Stafford and company can, and will, with a close win over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in NFL Week 5.
Prediction: Rams 30, Bills 27
